Writing or updating a resume can be a daunting endeavor. We are here to help! Our goal is to make it as quick and easy as possible for you.

Our typical process is made up of 4 main steps and the whole process typically takes around 2-3 weeks from quote approval to final draft (depending on client availability):

GENERAL

  • What industries do you have experience with?
    • We have experience with resumes in a variety of industries and roles including project/program management, various technology roles (software, infrastructure, etc), product management, management consulting, business development, sales, accounting, finance, banking, business administration, legal, biotech, compliance and regulatory roles, retail leadership, diversity & inclusion, corporate philanthropy, urban planning and transportation, automotive sales, academia, supply chain and logistics, digital marketing, creative, non-profit, private sector, public and government sector, and business/system/data analytics.
    • If your target role is in an industry that is newer to us we research the industry to determine the appropriate resume style.
    • On occasion we encounter a request that is outside of our area of expertise. In this scenario, we will let you know upfront if we do not feel we can help you get the results you are seeking.
  • On the Services page you show pricing, are those rates an hourly rate or are those starting prices for a resume project?
    • Pricing is listed based on completing one written deliverable or session of coaching. 
    • For resumes, the price includes at least one draft resume and a final draft. 
    • For career coaching, the range reflects the price including both the coaching session and related prep or research work.
    • Quotes: If you'd like to know how much your specific project would cost, just contact us via email, phone, or using the Request Info form. We will provide you a free quote for your specific project (with no obligation or commitment). 
    • For resume revision projects we request that you send your current/existing resume in order to provide a quote. It can also be helpful if you provide specific job postings or examples of job descriptions that interest you. See the "Services" page for starting prices.
    • For coaching and practice interviews, we will provide a quote for number of sessions and any prep or follow up work. See the "Services" page for starting prices.
  • I don't live in the Seattle area, can you still help me with my resume and/or with coaching?
    • Absolutely! We have completed many resume projects with clients in other cities and even outside of the U.S. just through email and phone calls.
    • For coaching and interview sessions, we are happy to do video conferences.
  • Where are you located?
    • Our office space is in an office in North Seattle (Greenwood). We can also meet at a coffee shop if you prefer a more casual setting. Please note: our mailing address is also in North Seattle, but it is not the same address as our meeting space.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    • We require 50% upon approval of quote to begin work. The balance is due when the final version(s) are sent to you.
    • We accept check, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, or cash. Please note that there is a 3% service charge applied to all PayPal and credit card transactions.
    • Combined Seattle Sales tax is added to all consulting and writing engagements. Combined Seattle Sales tax is 10.1%
RESUMES & WRITTEN DELIVERABLES
  • How long does it take to update a resume?
    • Our process is outlined above, we work quickly and can expedite if needed. We charge an expedite fee for any deadlines which are within 10 days or less.
    • Our goal is to complete your resume within three weeks of quote approval, but that sometimes varies based on scheduling availability.  If you have a hard deadline, please let us know up front so that we can work with you to schedule the phone calls and work based on your deadline.
    • The resume revision process involved 2-4 phone calls of 30-60min each.
  • Can we do the whole process over the phone, or do we need to meet in-person?
    • We can work through the process in whichever way is more comfortable for you. We do most resume work over the phone but we can certainly meet in person in the Seattle area if you prefer. We are also happy to schedule video calls in lieu of an in-person meeting.
  • My job history is spotty, can you help me fill in gaps?
    • We can help you represent yourself in a professional and concise manner that positively represents your relevant experience, skills, and interests. However, we do NOT fabricate work history or any details on your resume. We rely on you to provide accurate information. Our mission is to help you craft a resume that supports your professional goals with accurate information based on your relevant work and personal history. In cases where there is a gap in work history due to personal matters, sabbatical, etc. we can help you select an effective approach specific to your situation.
  • How do you determine pricing for resume revisions and new resume creation?
    • Pricing is determined based on the complexity of the project, the state of the existing resume, and any additional information we collect during our intake call. We offer discounts for referrals, bundled services, and for new graduates looking to get into the job market.
    • Pricing listed on the services page is the starting price for each service.
    • For resumes, the price includes at least one draft resume and a final draft. 
    • You may request more than one *version* of your resume (meaning resumes for different target jobs), in which case we may apply a discount for creation of the additional versions.
INTERVIEW COACHING
  • How does interview practice work?
    • In cases where a client is interested in setting up one or more practice interviews, we follow a similar 4-step process as the resume consulting process:
      1. We have an initial phone call to understand what you are looking for, and we work with you to collect any relevant job postings or job descriptions. If there is a specific target company we do some research on company culture and interview style for the target company.
      2. We schedule and conduct the practice interview as though we are truly interviewing you for the job. Practice interviews are typically 45-60min long.
      3. We provide verbal feedback immediately after the practice interview.
      4. We provide a written recap of the key questions we asked along with our feedback.
    • In some cases, clients request interview support for specific types of interviews (e.g. giving a presentation to an interview panel). In these cases, we will work with you to customize a plan to meet your needs.
    • We can conduct interview sessions in our offices or at your home, whichever will be most effective for you.
    • Payment is due at the time of the session.
CAREER COACHING
  • What is career coaching and how does it work?
    • For clients interested in career coaching, we customize for each client's needs. Career counseling can include a variety of angles. Some examples of how we can support you:
      • career fit exploration
      • establish career goals and career planning
      • evaluate challenges you are encountering or have encountered
      • collaborate on strategies for resolving challenges and moving toward your goals
    • The typical process:
      • We will have an introductory phone call (15-30min) to understand your needs and goals for career counseling. If relevant, we will ask for additional information based on your situation. This may include resumes, job descriptions, performance evaluations, personal assessments, work samples, etc.
      • Both sides will agree that we are a fit to work together. In some cases, we will not have the relevant industry knowledge to support you in achieving your goals - if this is the case we will let you know upfront.
      • We will design a plan for number of sessions and frequency of meetings. In some cases, clients simply need 1 or 2 sessions to talk through goals. In other cases, clients request sessions on regular interval.
      • There is no long term commitment and we request that payment be made at the time of each session.
    • A typical counseling session is 60-90 minutes. We usually meet in-person at a location convenient to you.  It can be at a coffee shop/restaurant, your office, or your home. 
    • Cancellation: We have a $50 cancellation policy for sessions cancelled less than 24-hours in advance.

    Diana Perrault has 20+ years of experience in leadership roles in software development, process methodologies, marketing, supply chain logistics, and industrial engineering. As a hiring manager in several different organizations, she has had the opportunity to review hundreds of resumes, interview many dozens of candidates, and consult with recruiters in a variety of industries and company cultures.

    During her career Diana has found a particular sense of fulfillment in helping others find the right role and organization. She has coached many people through finding their career niche, creating strong resumes, and preparing for interviews.
